Library Closed New Year's Day

The Kilbourn Public Library and Bookmobile will be closed Friday, January 1, 2010 to welcome in the new year.  The library will reopen on Saturday, January 2.  Happy New Year!

Thank You Saturday

Join us on Saturday, January 2 at 10:00 a.m. for a Thank You card workshop.  Make original cards to send thanks for holiday gifts and listen to stories about sending thanks.

We are also saying Thank You and Good Luck to Tara Matzl.  Tara has been a valuable member of the KPL staff and we will miss her.  Stop in Saturday and join us in bidding Tara a fond farewell.

Welcome Michael

We are pleased to announce that Michael Dodd has joined the staff here at the Kilbourn Public Library.  Michael will be spending part of his time on the bookmobile and will also be here at the circulation desk.  Michael may be a familiar face to many of you as he has been volunteering here at the library for the last couple of years. Michael begins January 4.  Join us in welcoming him to the library.

Special Holiday Hours

The Kilbourn Public Library and Bookmobile will be closed on Thursday, December 24 and Friday, December 25.  In addition, the library will be closing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22.  The bookmobile will make a shortened stop at Woodland Apartments on Tuesday, December 22 from 5 - 6 p.m.  We will also be closed on Friday, January 1 for New Year's Day.  Happy Holidays!

Craft Day on Saturday, December 26th

Ready to get out of the house for some after Christmas fun?  Then join us at the library on Saturday, December 26th from 10 am to 1 pm to make a Mitten Garland to brighten your winter days.  We'll be cutting, punching, coloring and stringing.  All supplies will be provided to make this wonderful winter craft.

January Computer Classes

Jim will be offering computer classes again in January.  Information can be found in the Dells Events or on our website http://www.scls.lib.wi.us/wid/computerclasses.html Feel free to call the library at 608-254-2146 with any questions.

Teen Night Wednesday

Come to the Teen Café at the library on Wednesday, December 16th from 6 pm-8 pm.  We’ll have food, fun, and friends…along with laptops and a room just for teens!  Learn something super cool about the month of December while you’re here.  Teenagers only please.

Saturday is Movie Day!

Saturday, December 19 is Movie Day at the library.  Be here at 10 a.m. because you don’t want to miss a minute of Night at the Museum 2 : Battle of the Smithsonian. We’ll supply the popcorn as you enjoy watching the Smithsonian Institution come to life.  No other film has ever been shot inside the Smithsonian so join us for this fun historical adventure.
