Lego Building Day

Saturday January 7 from 10 a.m. to noon, come to Lego Building Day at the Library. Join us for a morning of creative brain-building fun as we explore the world of Legos! Books and bricks are provided. Finished works will be photographed for display.

Family Bingo

On Saturday, January 14, Family B-I-N-G-O will be the gaming event for our second Saturday program. Everyone is welcome to join us for some hot competition and hot chocolate on a cold January morning. Games begin at 10 a.m. and end at noon. Bring your family or friends. Don't miss the Surprises and Bingo Fun.

January Movie Day: MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS

Saturday, January 21 at 10 a.m., it's Movie Day at the library. We will be showing the 2011 movie version of the Newberry Award-winning classic, Mr. Popper's Penguins. In this film update, comic Jim Carrey plays a man whose life begins to change after he inherits six penguins. As he transforms his apaprtment into a winter wonderland, his professional side begins to unravel, but he learns about the things that matter most. Bring the whole family to enjoy the fun -- we'll supply the movie and the popcorn!

Tuesday Tue-Do Game Day

While children play with their new toys, adults are invited to burn off some of those holiday calories with a brisk Tuesday Tue-Do Game Day, Tuesday, December 27, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We expect a lively time chatting, laughing , and playing a variety of table games. Adults only , please.

New Year's Eve Craft

Saturday, December 31 from 10 a.m. to Noon we will have a Make-and-Take craft to help you bid farewell to the Old Year and welcome in the New. It will be suitable for all ages and the library will provide the necessary materials.

New Year's Day Break

The Kilbourn Public Library will be closed Monday,  January 2. The library re-opens on Tuesday, January 3 at 9:00 a.m.

Literacy Council Book Drive

The Kilbourn Public Library is joining with the Wisconsin Dells Literacy Council to help make the holidays a little more special for area children.  And we need your help!  Please donate new or gently used chidlren's books.  The Literacy Council and St. Vincent dePaul Society will distribute the books to needy children in the area.  Books can be dropped off here at the library anytime before December 16.  What a great way to share the holiday spirit by giving the gift of reading.

Saturday Scavenger Hunt & Cookie Decorating

Bring the whole family to the library on Saturday, December 3 at 10:00 a.m. and start the holiday season off right.  Enjoy a program for all ages featuring stories by Jan Brett, a Scavenger Hunt and Cookie Decorating.  Come out for this great program and meet our new Youth Services Library Assistant Jody DelaGardelle.  Jody has all sorts of fun lined up so you don't want to miss it.

Holiday Book Club

This month the Kilbourn Public Library book club is doing something special.  Everyone is invited to join in our library holdiay read.  Stop by the library and choose from our selection of holiday novels and stories.  Take some time to relax and read your chosen story.  Then join us in December and share your thoughts about the book.  We will be meeting on Monday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, December 21 at 1:30 p.m. to talk about the books we've read and to share some holiday cheer.  Please join us.
